Introduction
Quro ("Quro", "we", "our", or "the app") is a mobile app for generating and customizing QR codes. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not handle, how it is used, and your choices.
In short: Quro does not collect personal information about you. There is no account, no login, and we never ask for your name, email address, or anything else that identifies you. The QR codes you create and the content you enter stay on your device.
Information We Do Not Collect
Quro has no user accounts and no sign-in. We do not collect, request, or store:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact details.
- Any login credentials or user profile.
- The contents of the QR codes you create (URLs, text, Wi-Fi details, contact cards, email addresses, etc.).
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The following data is stored exclusively on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Saved QR codes — The QR codes you create, including their content and customization (colors, shapes, logos, frames, and other styling).
- App preferences and settings — Your in-app configuration choices.
- Photos you select for a logo — If you place an image in the center of a QR code, that image is read from your photo library and used locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us.
This data exists only on your device and is removed when you delete the relevant items or uninstall the app.
Information Collected Automatically
To keep the app working and improve it, we use the following services. None of this data identifies you personally.
- Analytics Data — We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated usage data such as app opens, which QR types and customization options are used, and where exports happen. We never log the content you enter — only which features are used. This data does not personally identify you.
- Crash Reports — We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash reports so we can identify and fix bugs. Crash data does not contain personally identifiable information.
Photo Library and Media Access
Quro may ask for permission to access your photo library for two purposes: to let you place an image in the center of a QR code, and to save your exported QR codes back to your photos. These actions happen locally on your device. Quro does not have access to your full photo library beyond the images you choose, and selected images are not transmitted to us.
Subscriptions and Purchases
Quro offers optional premium features through in-app purchases. Purchases are processed by Apple through your App Store account, and subscription status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat. To manage entitlements, RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and purchase/receipt information from Apple. This process does not include your name or email address. Apple processes payment information according to Apple's Privacy Policy, and RevenueCat according to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal information — because we do not collect any. We use the following third-party services, which process only the anonymous data described above:
- Firebase (Google) — Anonymous analytics and crash reporting, according to Google's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat — Subscription and purchase management, according to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple — App distribution and in-app purchases, according to Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Retention
- Local data on your device exists as long as the app is installed. You can delete your saved QR codes individually within the app at any time.
- Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data from your device.
- Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained in aggregated form for product improvement purposes and cannot be traced back to you.
Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the app. Local data is stored in your device's sandboxed storage. Any data transmitted to the services above uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS).
Children's Privacy
Quro is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect such information from children either.
Your Rights and Choices
- Delete Saved Data — Delete individual QR codes within the app at any time.
- Uninstall — Removing the app deletes all local data from your device.
- Opt Out of Analytics — You can limit analytics collection by disabling analytics or ad personalization in your device's privacy settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
